Why Serve on the NACS Board of Trustees
Serving on the Board is a meaningful way to give back to the industry, influence key decisions, and help lead what comes next. Board members guide strategic priorities, support the development of impactful programs and services, and ensure the voices of campus stores are heard on the issues that matter most. It’s also an opportunity to grow as a leader, build meaningful professional connections, and be part of something bigger—advancing the future of collegiate retail.
Nomination Process
The NACS Nominating Committee will interview candidates in November and December, and meet in January to finalize the slate for the NACS Board at its CAMEX Board Meeting. Candidates will be informed of their status by the committee chair immediately after the January meeting. The NACS Nominating Committee Chair will call each candidate to inform him or her of the results. The slate will then be presented to the NACS Board of Trustees for approval. Once the slate is approved, an announcement will be made in the very next issue of Campus Marketplace. Ballots will then go out to the membership for a vote, and returned ballots are submitted to NACS’ auditors.
