Fairfield, CT, is celebrating 375 years since its founding. It boasts five miles of shoreline on the Long Island Sound and nearly 60,000 residents, yet maintains a small-town feel. In addition to active civic associations, beaches, marinas, parks, shopping, and fine dining, the town is also home to Fairfield University and the Fairfield University Bookstore.

Nancy L. Quinn, the store's special events coordinator, has been extremely active in the community since the store opened three years ago, raising funds for numerous organizations. When Quinn attended a Call for Artists at the Fairfield Art Museum, she immediately thought her store could offer something similar. "But make the submissions specific to the Town of Fairfield, reflecting pride in our great town," she said.

Thus, Fairfield Pride 375 juried art exhibit was born.
