The successful college store of the future will be a dynamic campus resource that plays an integral role in the success of the institution and people it serves. It will do more than just sell course materials—it will provide an array of services so essential that its college/university would never think of having an event or activity without asking the store's participation.

The Communicating Your Store's Value guide features tips for identifying your store's contributions and worth, and numerous suggestions for getting the word out. Campus stakeholders may not be aware just how much value your college store delivers—both financially and nonfinancially—unless you tell them.

NACS' advocacy efforts, initiated in 2000, aim to enhance others' perceptions of college stores and the value of the collegiate retailing industry. Here you can view print ads that have appeared in conjunction with the campaign.
Industry Awareness Ad Campaigns
NACS has put together several marketing campaigns in conjunction with its advocacy initiatives. Each campaign contains several ad slicks and other tools designed to help you promote your college store to students, faculty and other customers.
Ads communicating with faculty members were created by NACS and are listed below. All images from the NACS Faculty Ads are available to full member stores. You can use the images to create your own ad, branded with your store's information.
Cool Ideas Contest
The NACS Cool Ideas Contest is a great way to share successful marketing ideas and get recognition. Each of the three winning stores in the Cool Ideas contest will receive a check for $1,000, courtesy of The College Store magazine, to be used for future marketing needs, as well as recognition in NACS publications.
