New Names and Organizational Changes
Stadium Bookstore, Marshall University, Huntington, WV, is closing on Oct. 31. Jim Morgan opened the store in 1991 and leased it to Nebraska Book Co. in 2003.
New Positions and Promotions
Jennifer Krach was promoted to vice president of sales for C-Line Products Inc., responsible for managing the company’s overall sales activities. Krach previously served as a national key account manager for C-Line.
Awards and Achievements
Synnex Corp. earned Distributor of the Year recognition from Ruckus Wireless Inc., a technology firm that manufactures and markets Smart Wi-Fi products for broadband service providers worldwide. Synnex was honored for its achievements in wireless within the IT channel worldwide.
Renovations and Construction
Barnes & Noble College Booksellers held grand-opening ceremonies for its new location at College Town, Rochester, NY. The two-story facility will serve the community as well as students of the University of Rochester and the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Member Mentions
Stephen Hochheiser stepped down as vice president, public affairs, Cengage Learning. He was vice president of college stores and public affairs at Cengage from 1987 until his promotion in May 2014. Hochheiser was a member of the NACS Board of Trustees from 1998-2000 and served on the NACS Foundation board from 2003-06.
