Augusoft, Pearson Expand Online Offering
Augusoft is offering Pearson Workforce Education (PWE) online classes through its Lumens cloud-based enrollment-management system. Augusoft customers are able to market and sell PWE training programs without a contract and provide learners with a single sign-on procedure.
Bookmasters Distributes h.f. ullmann Titles
Bookmasters is distributing h.f. ullman titles in North America. The German publisher has produced more than 140 English-language titles covering architecture, art history, cars, design, drawing, fashion, fine arts, food and drink, medicine, music, papercraft, science, and spirituality.
Arcadia Acquires U.S. Subsidiary of History Press
Arcadia Publishing purchased the U.S. subsidiary of The History Press Ltd. Arcadia is the largest publisher of local and regional books in the United States.
OUP, Microsoft Work on Enhanced E-Book Solution
Oxford University Press and Microsoft are working together on an enhanced e-book solution called Oxford’s Learner Bookshelf that is available through the Office 365 SharePoint app. The app provides tools that make it easier for students to study at home.
Ingram to Handle Longleaf Fulfillment
Ingram Content Group will manage warehousing, fulfillment, print-on-demand, and e-book content-management solutions for Longleaf Services at the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2014. Longleaf was founded by the University of North Carolina Press in 2006 to provide fulfillment for university presses and nonprofit publishers.
Kensington, PRH Expand Agreement
Kensington Publishing expanded its agreement with Penguin Random House (PRH) Publishers Services to provide sales and distribution services in all physical and digital formats. Kensington has been distributed by Penguin for years and was a distribution-only client for PRH.
IPG/Trafalgar Square Adds Clients
Independent Publishers Group (IPG) will begin distributing regional and niche titles from Museyon Guides on Aug. 1 and children’s titles from Tantan Publishing in April 2015. IPG’s Trafalgar Square Publishing will begin distributing titles from Little Island Books, Berbay Publishing, Ammonite Press, and Fine Feather Press on Jan. 1, 2015.
IPG to Distribute Popular Book Titles
Independent Publishers Group (IPG) has started to distribute backlist titles from the Popular Book Co. and will handle frontlist books beginning April 2015. Popular Book Co. is a Canadian publisher of workbooks and learning materials for preschool and elementary school children. In addition, IPG started distributing titles from Charlie Girl & Co. and Pitchstone Publishing on July 1. It will distribute titles from Dry Climate Studios, Tuva Publishing, Rosarium Publishing, and the Wine Appreciation Guild on Sept. 1, and Racing Post Books on Jan. 1, 2015, through its subsidiary Trafalgar Square Publishing.
Wiley Makes E-Titles Available on GVRL Platform
John Wiley & Sons is making more than 400 of its e-book titles available on the Gale Virtual Reference Library platform. E-books on business and economics, medicine, computer science, and psychology are among the titles that will be available, along with 180 titles from the “For Dummies” series.
