Gale Adds to Historical Materials Online Collection
Gale added 16 digital collections featuring historical material for academic libraries. Most of the collections are available through its Artemis Primary Sources platform, with three available at the Associated Press Collections Online.
Trinity University Press Buys Maverick Publishing
Trinity University Press, San Antonio, TX, purchased Maverick Publishing Co., whose titles focus on the history and culture of Texas and the American Southwest. Trinity will also offer Maverick backlist titles in digital form for the first time.
AtlasBooks to Distribute I.B. Tauris Titles
AtlasBooks began distributing I.B. Tauris titles on Feb. 1. I.B. Tauris specializes in general nonfiction and scholarly writing in the humanities and social sciences.
Hachette Distributing Asterix Comics
Hachette Book Group started distributing the “Asterix” comic series in the United States on Jan. 1. “Asterix” had been available through Sterling Publishing.
Chronicle to Distribute Quadrille Titles
Chronicle Books will begin distributing titles from Quadrille Publishing in fall 2015. Quadrille Publishing, which produces illustrated books and stationery, was acquired by Hardie Grant Publishing Group, Melbourne, Australia, a longtime partner of Chronicle.
Hachette Buying Black Dog & Leventhal
Hachette Book Group is buying Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers, which produces titles in light reference, humor, cooking, sports, music, film and entertainment, mysteries, history, and biography.
Norton to Distribute Tin House Books
W.W. Norton will begin distributing titles from Tin House Books to wholesale, retail, and library accounts on July 1, 2015. Tin House publishes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
