Facilitator-led programs offer an opportunity to present industry educational programs at your state or regional association meeting. The available programs below have been selected and developed based on industry need. Consisting of relevant and cutting-edge content, they are delivered face-to-face.

The following 1-hour programs are available for 2009-2010 and may be eligible for support via a NACS Foundation program grant:

What's Next for Campus Retailers: A glimpse at the road ahead New for 2009-2010
"Dangerous Curve Ahead" "No U Turn" "Steep Hill Ahead" Worried about what lies ahead for your store? "What's Next" provides insight into trends shaping the future of our industry–including top forces impacting course materials and campus retail through 2012 and beyond. Based on research from the NACS Foundation, TRU, and Retail Forward, this session will present opportunities for campus stores, sharpen your ability to interpret trends, and provide some landmarks for navigating change in your store.
BONUS CONTENT: You will also get a sneak peak at preliminary findings from the NACS Foundation/Retail Forward research project to "Define the College Store of 2015."

Building Bridges at Work: Using Personas to Improve Communication
Effective communication is critical in our fast-paced world in which we constantly short-change dialogue with e-mail, text messages, and sticky notes. In this program, you will learn a simple and effective "type indicator" model to help you better understand yourself and others. By better knowing how you and your colleagues typically behave and interact with the world around you, you can learn to adjust your approach to conversations so that you are more effectively heard and understood.

Communicating Your Store's Value
This program will offer ideas to help you raise the visibility of your college store with university decision-makers and create positive perceptions of your store's value to your campus community.

Give 'em the Pickle!
The foundation of this program is the video "Give 'em the Pickle!", in which restaurateur Bob Farrell shares stories and lessons he's learned from 30 years working in the selling and hospitality industries. This program will help you inspire your team and act as a guide as you and your staff commit to raise the level of service offered to your customers.

2009 Student Watch—Exposed! Why and How Students Shop
This session will cover the results of a national college student shopping survey recently conducted by NACS Collegiate Research Services and sponsored by the NACS Foundation. Hear the key findings from NACS research staff, including data on students’ preferred sales promotions and an unveiling of hot new items students say they would like to purchase from their college store.

Legislative Update
This session is not eligible for support via a NACS Foundation program grant. State & Regional Associations will need to cover travel expenses for speaker attendance.
