New Names and Organizational Changes
- James Melton will step down as Baker & Taylor's vice president and CFO later this year. Melton agreed to remain with the distributor while the company hunts for his successor.
- Nebraska Book Co. (NBC) signed a 10-year agreement to provide
comprehensive used-textbook services for the Gonzaga University Bookstore, Spokane, WA.
Earlier this year, Gonzaga considered leasing the school's institutional bookstore.
After reviewing three lease proposals, administrators decided it was in the best interest of students, faculty, and the institution to stay self-operational and partner with NBC's
textbook division.
