Get Green!
Torchlight  |  Summer 2008

Participate in the 2008 NACS Foundation Salary & Benefits Survey going on now for your chance to get some green—a chance to win a $250 credit memo from NACSCORP and a free copy of the report, a $150 value.

Available in both U.S. and Canadian versions, this biennial report will help you compare your store's compensation levels and benefits packages against those of other stores within the overall industry as well as within the same sales volume category, geographic region, type of school, type of store ownership, and urban or rural school location. There is no better tool to use for upcoming compensation negotiations for you and other store employees.

The survey is now being conducted and the NACS Foundation is looking for participants to complete this crucial research study. "We have participated for many years in this survey and the historical data is also very useful in negotiating better salaries," said Lynette Seymour, general manager, University Book Store, Iowa State University. "I participate in the survey because I believe that benchmarking data is very important, and the more stores that participate the better the data. As a director, this is one more tool to help manage the store, and to benchmark against similar operations."

All eligible participants can complete the survey before Tuesday, July 15, 2008, and are automatically entered in to win a $250 credit memo from NACSCORP—it's a win/win!

All survey submissions must be received by Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, and will receive a free copy of the report for participating. If your institution is interested in completing the survey, contact Kristi Runser at (800) 622-7498, ext. 2206 or e-mail krunser@nacs.org to see if your institution/store is eligible to participate.

All research published by the NACS Foundation is conducted by Collegiate Research Services (CRS). CRS, the NACS custom market research division, assists vendors in penetrating the college market with a variety of quantitative and qualitative student and store research.
