Buyer attendance in San Antonio reached 2,309—the highest in 11 years.
  • More than 92% of attendees took advantage of exhibitors' trade show specials.
  • Nearly 99% of attendees said that products found on the trade show floor were relevant to their store's purchasing needs.
  • More than 97% of attendees agreed meeting and talking with exhibitors was an important part of the show.
  • More than 57% of buyers said they recouped the cost of their trip by taking advantage of show specials.
  • Almost 97% of attendees said that they used the CAMEX web site to acquire information about the show.

Who Are CAMEX Attendees?
  • More than 80% of attendees were from institutionally owned stores—most serving four-year institutions that also serve a graduate school.
  • Eight: The average number of years attendees had been coming to CAMEX.
  • Almost 50% of attendees had 15 or more years of experience in the collegiate retail industry.
  • Almost 23% had 9-15 years of experience in the collegiate retail industry.
  • More than 70% of attendees at CAMEX 2008 were female.
  • 25% of attendees were 36-45 years old.
  • More than 61% were 46-65 years old.

Why come to Anaheim? It's not only home to Disneyland and a massive tourism industry, but it's also one of the leading convention sites in the nation, hosting more than one million conventions and meeting attendees annually. Delegates from this industry spent $938 million in 2007.
Reminder: Submit your educational session proposals by Mon., June 30! Stand out as an industry expert before buyers hit the trade show floor. More than 86% of CAMEX attendees this year indicated that they attended both the educational sessions and the trade show. You'll be notified of your session acceptance no later than the week ending Aug. 15, 2008.
